Hello! I am Michele Yarberry, a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, Registered Play Therapist, Certified Emotion Code/Body Code/Belief Code Practitioner, Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, Kinesiology & Applied Bioenergetics Practitioner Level IV, and hold an Advanced Certificate in Complex Trauma & Dissociation. My client-centered approach integrates complementary/alternative modalities, in addition to Play Therapies, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Flash Technique, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Animal Interactions, and/or other evidence-based modalities.

My goal is to help you and/or your child achieve resolution through gentle trauma processing and mental, emotional, and physical balancing.

I develop do-able treatment plans, to fit your resources and lifestyle. My belief is that you are the expert of the challenges faced by you and/or your child.

My office suite provides a comfortable waiting/play area for mothers and siblings, as well as quietness and peace for individuals, who need a respite, prior to their appointment time. High-speed wireless network is available, for your convenience, while you wait.

Teachers and parents have found my Emotional Self-Regulation Techniques to be quite helpful, at home, as well as in the classroom. I avail hands-on education and instruction, through my Teacher/Parent Support groups. Improved academic performance, social enhancement, and improved positive behaviors can be achieved through the evidence-based techniques that I offer.

My professional services include crisis counseling, assessments, parental support, and individual sessions. I avail Biblical, faith-based counseling, for those of you, who prefer integration of Scripture and prayer, in your sessions. I welcome people of all faiths and will incorporate your beliefs and values to the extent that you desire throughout the treatment process.

The personalized relaxation techniques that I use at the close of your session may help you feel better connected to yourself and able to better fulfill the day’s obligations.
